I'm relieved to see you posting :) I was getting a bit worried about you. Sorry, I don't mean to be a pest, it's just the Mother in me I suppose.

What to write about, hmmm?
How about how you were married for so long and then divorced. I'm interested since my husband and I split for a while but, reconciled. After that many years I was scared to death to stay gone. I'm glad now that we did work things out but, for a while I was just mad at myself for not being brave enough to go it alone.

Hi lori!
I noticed I hadn't seen any blogs for a while...hope all is going well in your little corner of the world :-)
Hmm....instead of something totally serious, why not blog about something fun? Since it is Fall, why not write about your favorite Fall memories? Better yet, what about Halloween? Had any special Halloween's over the years?? (sorry for the dull suggestions - guess my mind is a little blank at the moment as well LOL) At any rate, I'm sure whatever you blog about will be great - as usual :-)

ok... I'll get all deep and profound...

How much of yourself is defined by the loss of your daughter? If you had not lost her, in what ways do you think that you would be different than you are now?

I think you should write a post about how brilliant that blogger "surrogate" is. He's incredibly smart and yet humble - almost to a fault...

Or,

How about a piece or two on why being at least being semi-organized is important and your ideas about why that is. I know it sounds sort of DIY, but I'll bet you could make it interesting as all get out. -I'm thinking more about being organized in life than specifically how to set up a dresser or closet efficiently.

I'm sorry dear...I've forgotten that brain fog, is indeed a real and debilitating syndrome. I certainly meant you no harm and I will try and be more sensitive in the future.
PS: just for the record, in the old days they called it SENILITY...you kooky bitch.

Reply to: LadyG I'm sorry that you lost your mom so young. That's a terrible thing. I think that would be a good subject. We do have a good relationship and you're right...I do see a lot of families that just seem to not be able to get along. Thank you for your assistance :)

Alive and well and busy! Thank you for your concern...you are certainly not a pest! it's always nice to know people are thinking about you. I think that is another good subject for a blog. I'm not sure if it's writer's block or the fact that I am exhausted lately that is keeping me from posting but, I miss it. Hope your weekend is going well. Lori

You know you are lazy when you start asking others to think for you...I should be embarrassed...but sadly, no.

Hi mom...I've been reading. I'm afraid to look today though! I was a gypsy or a witch every Halloween from like 1967 to at least 1974. But at least I wasn't a garbabe bag...right Linda??? Brain fog girl. Nice to hear from you mom. Love you.

That is very deep and profound and a very good question that I'm going to set out to answer.

I'm curious how you might answer that question if put to you given the scope of your circumstances.

Thanks Cutter.

I try to think about that every day... "What would be different about me if...?" Then, if I find something about myself I wish were different, I do my best to change it to my liking.

The tricky part is deciding what it is that I wish to change, as most things in life are both blessings and curses...

On man's demon is another man's angel. (So to speak.)

OnE man's demon is another man's angel.

dern typos.

(The hidden blessing there? The much needed reminder to myself to s-l-o-w d-o-w-n.)

Am taking both ideas for subject matter into consideration. Were you thinking some sort of documentary on the brilliant blogger or more of a critical analysis of his worK?
As far as the organization...it is actually worth considering although people may think I'm a bit geeky....alphabetizing spices, lining up cereal boxes...

I do understand what you are saying about the blessing and the curses and how sometimes one is woven into the other. It is interesting to ponder and I'm looking forward to writing about it.

I'm thinking kind of a Ken Burns multi-media take on the man/legend. Old letters, sepia photographs, haunting music with a recurring Cello theme as the audio-logo (I have a modest example I'll be happy to provide), oh, and James Earl Jones doing the naration, of course. Maybe five or six nights on PBS - however they want to break it up, ya know, 20 hours or so. Maybe it can tie-in to the release of the surrogate 39 cent postage stamp in '08.

Holy-heaps-of-posts! sorry i havent been around of late, finding net access is once again proving to be a battle.

im glad u got so many suggestions, and by the folowing posts im guessing they helped. i would have just suggested random word association to get the ball rolling... im also a huge fan of mindmaps, but then again, i only write ehen i feel i need to. i admire all you folk who seem to be able to fit writing into ur lives with some sort of regular structure.

i'll read on now....
